This vintage 1976 Lefty Fender Jazz Bass is one of the most intriguing instruments to have come in to our shop recently. Guitar manufacturers are not too kind to left handed players. You often have to settle for a mediocre instrument simply because it is available, but that is not the case with this amazing diamond in the rough. This bass plays and sounds like a dream and is a true top quality vintage Fender.
The bass has been modified quite a bit, although I believe to it’s advantage. All the work has been done by regionally famed New Jersey luthier Steve Hayes. The frets have been removed and expertly filled, really a phenomenal job. The bridge has been replaced with a high quality original Bad Ass bridge and pickups have been changed to Bartolinis.
The condition is very nice, this bass has been very well cared for. The paint has been professionally touched up and looks great. There are typical light scratches/ swirls in the finish as you would expect to find on a vintage instrument that has been lovingly played but not abused. The bridge cover holes have been touched up so you can only notice them upon close inspection. Overall this classic Fender Jazz is in great shape, I don't see any dents or dings.
If you are looking for an exceptional and unique left handed bass this is it. Includes hard case and all original Fender parts, knobs, pickups, bridge, bridge cover and pick up cover.
