About This Listing

Flawless Yamaha Xeno 881G large bore tenor trombone. No dents, no scratches, and no lacquer wear. It is clean and the slide is as good as new. This is essentially a brand new horn for a fraction of the price. It comes with the original case and original Peter Sullivan mouthpiece. It has a very consistent/secure response and even tone across registers. It would be equally at home in a brass band, 3rd part in a big band, principal part in an orchestra, or in a chamber group. If you want more pictures or more information, please contact me.

Specifications

The Xeno features heavier gauge brass and a thick-walled, one-piece brazed bell which has been hand-hammered thousands of times for the ultimate in a big orchestral sound. The entire instrument has an evenness and balance you have to experience to believe. The tone is flexible with myriad tonal colors, and gives you both powerful projection at fortissimo and subtle control in the most delicate passages. This may well be the most expressive orchestral style trombone ever created.
