Greetings from Prodigy Studios.
This is a rare, one of a kind piece from Kay - a vintage (circa 1950's) blonde (with some sort of tiger stripe pattern going on) Archtop guitar. For the age of the guitar, it's in phenomenal condition - there's a bit of rust here and there, but other than that, there's no play wear whatsoever. The previous owner received it as a gift when he was a young man, but never played it, letting it sit in the case for the majority of it's life. Upon receiving it, I cleaned it as thoroughly as possible, removing all signs of age (dust, dirt, as much rust as possible - it was polished, and so were the frets individually) possible. It was also restrung with D'Addario 10's to enhance playability. It sounds beautiful, and projects quite a bit of sound.
The guitar comes with it's original case, and all parts on it are original, including the neck, which has inlays that match the dark red tortoiseshell pickguard. It's a beautiful instrument, and suited for those who like something a bit different and 'off the beaten track.' Perfect for playing Americana music styles, or just to have as a beautiful instrument and piece of history. Included is it's original case.
