For Sale on consignment at Diablo Guitars: Gibson Custom Shop Limited Edition Judas Priest KK downing Flying V and Glenn Tipton SG guitar set. These guitars were made in 2005 by Gibson’s Custom Shop as a limited edition set and were limited to only 30 made. This pair is #22 of 30, and both guitars are 100% original and come with the original case candy, COA’s and Original Gibson Custom Hardshell cases.
The Judas Priest Gibson guitars were made by Gibson’s Custom Shop to be accurate recreations of Glenn Tipton’s Gibson SG and KK Downing’s Gibson Flying V. Gibson paid very close attention to every detail which can be seen throughout both guitars including solder marks on KK’s Flying V PAF pickups and the Kahler stop tailpiece on Glenn’s SG. The prototype to the KK Downing flying V was owned by KK and recently sold at his guitar auction which he stated “Ken considers this prototype remarkably true to the original, especially the acoustic tonality.”
These guitars have been hung on a wall since purchase and are both in excellent condition. The only sign of unoriginal (not made by Gibson on purpose) wear are some small scratches on the very sensitive mirror pick-guard on the SG. Audio and video demos coming soon!
