Sunn Sceptre 1972

This is a very nice amp.  Recently serviced, new tubes biased.  No servicing or upgrades needed, this amp is gig-ready!

This Scepter is all original except:

1. New Tubes (of course)

2. All aluminum electrolytic capacitors replaced about 6 years ago, as is normal for a properly serviced amp that is over 30 years old.

3. The Knobs are not original, replaced by Fender amp knobs

4. Power cable was replaced by a correctly-installed 3-prong power cord. If I remember correctly there was no death cap in it to begin with, but at any rate there is no so-called “death cap” in this amp.  This is also normal safety maintenance for old two-prong-power-cord amps.

The Tremolo does not work, but the reverb is excellent.

This amp is a clean machine, tons of power without much amp distortion, as the size of the power transformer will testify! Great for lo-fi keyboards, steel guitar or for guitarist like me who love a great powerful tube amp sound!

This is listed as "Local Pickup only"  however if you are willing to accept the shipment "as-is-no-matter-what" I can ship it to you - tubes removed and meticulously, carefully packed.   Please message for details and shipping cost.  It's a great amp but we absolutely cannot mess with having shipped back to us for whatever reason.
