Rare! I've owned this since 2007 and it's time for it to find a new home. This information is to the best of my knowledge so please ask specific questions before purchasing. The finish has a few scratches and dings as one would expect from a vintage bass. The control knobs are not the original and are bought from Electric Wood as the direct replacement(yes they go to 11!).
Fingerboard is flat and this thing plays great. Nice aggressive tone. Buyer needs to know theses issues: 1. Control knobs not original 2. One tuning key is not branded Schaller(see photo). It is a direct match other than the name not being on it. 3. There is a dark line on the back of the neck. I have been told by 2 reputable luthiers that it isn't open and that it is old wear in the finish. The truss works and the fingerboard is flat. I've played the bass a ton and it it has never bothered me or caused me concern.
All in all this is a rare opportunity to own a killer cool Wal. Comes with original issue brown branded Wal case.
