The Stratocaster you know and love has been steadily refined over the years until Fender came to this beautiful iteration. A part of the American Performer Series, this guitar features a dynamic Stratocaster design, inspiring Fender appointments, and Yosemite pickups with an extraordinary 7 pickup selection options. The American Performer Series Strat is for players ready to step into the next era with Fender.

Dynamic Stratocaster Design
The Stratocaster has been at the forefront of electric guitars since its birth in the 1950's. Through all types of changes, it has always remained an incredibly designed instrument suitable for many styles of playing. Cut from alder into traditional Strat shape, the American Performer Stratocaster body boasts a 3-ply pickguard atop an awesome finish. The maple neck is cut into a modern "C" shape for smooth playing and the fingerboard sports 22 jumbo frets for easy string bending.

Inspiring Fender Appointments
Fender's fun, playable designs and quality appointments have inspired some of the greatest artists of all time. When you pick up the American Performer Strat, you can feel the same inspiration. This Strat has ClassicGear tuners atop a large, vintage style headstock.  It's got the always recognizable aged-white control knobs and five-way selector switch with white tip. In classic Fender style, the bridge is a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo which will give you sweet bendy sounds at the shake of the tremolo arm.

Yosemite Pickups with an Extraordinary 7 Pickup Selection Options
Fender has graced us with some awesome electronic innovations in this Stratocaster. They added a single coil pickup model to their lineup and outfitted the American Performer Series instruments with it — this Strat included. The Strat Yosemite single coil pickups sport awesomely rich tone and classic Fender style, thanks to the flat-staggered Alnico 4 pole pieces which increase output, as well as a shellac coating that lets the coil breathe while controlling feedback. But what will really grab your attention is the pickup selection. The American Performer Stratocaster is equipped with a push/pull tone knob, which engages the neck pickup in positions 1 and 2. That means there's an additional two switching combinations on top of the five that already exist on most Strats. By pulling on the tone knob you can engage the neck pickup and have a Bridge/Neck combination or a Bridge/Middle/Neck combination. That’s 7 total pickup selections for you to choose from—an awe-inspiring innovation that you won't get bored of.
