One of the most “lusted over” guitars at the 2016 NAMM show, was this Fender Custom Shop 1957 Heavy Relic Stratocaster in a striking Olympic White over Pink Paisley. With a great feeling soft “V” neck shape and a worn back feel, you'd think this neck couldn't get any better, but it has. The Fender Custom Shop carved this neck out of Quartersawn AA Flamed Maple, and then crowned it with tall skinny 6105 frets for maximum playability. The tone is fuelled by a hand wound set of Ancho Poblano pickups that provide a slightly “scooped midrange” sound along with some extra heat without sounding brittle, think classic sounding Strat. Now for the most obvious feature, this guitar looks fantastically stunning, so don't hesitate. Buy it today, or cry tomorrow. - Scott
