Jatoba/Bubinga/Wenge/Sycamore fret-board with a kind of figured Sycamore, but due to so many exotic tone-woods from around the world, it is not always easy to tell, unless you are an expert on wood species, of which I am most certainly not.  This is a real nice neck, in my opinion and would be great for those building a custom made guitar, and/or those players looking for lead guitar playing necks, with a neck profile common in modern electric guitars. Keep in mind, that the flatter the radius, the more a guitar neck is suited for lead playing, and the rounder the radius, the more suited a guitar is for chord playing. Or the smaller the number, the rounder the radius.

This is really a very nice neck, and can be made to fit a custom made guitar, most telecasters or a Strat for that matter, perhaps with some slight modifications to heel body profile or slight neck/heel mods that ensures a great fit. Use due diligence when buying.  A great deal for that hobby builder or those needing a neck new to replace a broken one for example.  This neck is pretty much a blank canvas, it is a new or unused guitar neck. This guitar neck is finished, but for some builders, may I suggest light finish sanding with a real fine sandpaper, then a nice varnish/lacquer, gloss or satin depending upon your preference, or use some kind of oils, similar to what has been used on this guitar neck. My dad always used a fine scotch-pad to the neck of varnished/ glossy neck finishes, giving your neck a nice and smooth operation, allowing your hand to move smoothly up and down the neck when playing.
