Hardware Color: The majority of the hardware is gold, but the kick drum's legs are chrome and the floor tom's are black.
Features: Comes with legs for the floor tom, and each hanging tom has DW's Suspension Tom Mounts. The kick drum is a virgin kick, which means it has no holes drilled for mounting toms on it.
Condition: This stunning kit from DW is in terrific shape! It was custom ordered by a local customer of ours in Denver, so this is definitely not something you're going to see in stores! Overall, it's been very well cared for: there's some wear & tear associated with normal use, mostly on the kick drum (some scratches throughout, chips/wear in the paint on both rims -- see pics). The gold hardware on each drum has some slight tarnishing (see pics), but nothing terribly extreme. There is a bit of foam padding on the side of the kick drum, and next to it is a hole from where a mic was mounted in the drum which looks like it's been patched/plugged with some type of material (expoxy? putty? see pic). The wrap on some of the drums (the floor tom and 3 smaller hanging toms) is starting to come loose a bit: in certain places you can press it down, but it's only visually apparent in certain areas on the seams (see pics). There's a signature inside the 12" and 10" toms (which almost looks like it's dated 2011, but it's hard to tell). The heads on these drums are in great shape: not a lot of use on either the batter or resonant heads! Some light wear & stick marks for sure, but there's still a lot of life left in all of them. As mentioned before, this kit is visually stunning to look at! I really like the color combination and how it works with the gold hardware (and the black floor tom legs give some nice contrast, too)! Fortunately this kit sounds every bit as good as it looks! If you've got any questions about it, don't hesitate to give us a call here at the shop.
