This was the stock speaker in a 60watt marshall jtm60 from the mid90s.  The amp was a bit too punchy for me, so i tried to tame it with a v30.
I will mention for the sake of honesty  that there is a very faint low-frequency buzz (maybe at about 55 Hz) that I believe is caused by the cone/coil. It does not appear to be blown or anything and functions fully in every other way. In my playing, it is only noticeable in the background of muted bass notes and appears as the sound decays. With even a tiny amount of grid or overdrive it is not apparent and actually sounds kinda cool if super clean tone is not the goal.

THis speaker (in my opinion) has a midrange hump similar to a v30 but with a little flatter high-end response. I really only have the marshall amp to compare, but i would say that this marshall heritage celestion has a midrange hump which is less pronounced and a flatter overall frequency response.  By that, I mean that there's some extra boom to the bass, sizzle to the highs, and a tad more ferocity  compared to a v30.  Ultimately, I kept it out of the combo because the clean channel headroom just sounded a bit "rounder" with the v30 than the "angluar" sound made by this guy.  Better, tighter "crunch" to heavily clipped signals through this speaker.

Reading forums around the internet, there's some question about whether it's 150watt or 70watt.  Best to look it up by S403 because there also appear to be conflicting information (it's the internet afterall...) about whether it's equivalent to a g12H-? or a g12M-?. Nobody seems to know.  If you have a citable source, please let me know.

it just barely fits in a usps large flat rate box, so that's how it will be shipped.
