1971 Gibson ES-335 TD, Ice Tea Sunburst finish in excellent condition. All original with the exception of the Gotoh bridge and the case. This guitar has been fully checked over & set up in our workshop and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically. Nut width: 40.25mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.25mm. Serial: 617613. Weight: 7lbs 10oz. The pots date to 1971.
The frets are in great shape and all hardware & electronics are in excellent working order. The binding has yellowed. The binding is all intact. The back of the neck has a few small dings/scratches but generally clean. The headstock is clean with only a few small marks and dings around the edges. There are no breaks or repairs. Everything remains structurally sound.
This 1971 ES335 is Semi Hollow and has a solid body block from heel to neck joint. Same construction as in 1960’s models later discontinued in mid 72. Maple front back & sides, double cutaway arched Maple top with f-holes, layered Black pickguard, Trapeze tailpiece, Rosewood fretboard with block inlays, 2 covered pickups; 2 volume, 2 tone controls with 3 position switch. Black headstock faceplate with pearl crown logo & 3 per side Gibson Deluxe tuners.
