About This Listing

RARE-RARE-RARE!
This is a tailpiece from a '69 Gibson (acoustic) B-45-12 string. It also fits many Gibson acoustics from this era...there are currently only 2 on Ebay, and they don't even include the trapeze bar or back plate, they only have the string claw. And they asking the same (or more) than this price.
The word on these pieces is that the connecting bar was not made of very dense metal, and would either bend or snap off if the guitar strings were not loosened after every playing....who is going to do that with a 12 string...?
So: what's a Gibby 12 Folky to do? Well, I'll tell you...
Either replace the broken bar with another, using the same thread for the nuts (both are here), or thread the broken side and install a turnbuckle tube type connector there, and heat bend the bent side back to straight. Not pretty, but would be close to original.
Again, This is a rare, sought after item, and will fit your Gibson's original back mounting holes perfectly, no packing or re-drilling.
Foreign buyers please let me know from which country you hail, so shipping can be calculated as cheaply as possible.
Thank you for looking.
