Alright, up for sale is my 1996 Modulus Quantum 5 Sweet Spot. I really don't want to sell this bass... I'm only considering it because I am saving up for something else, and this is my most valuable (but also favorite) and least played bass. The Q5 is a common bass (for a modulus) but the Q5 Sweet Spot is a rare specimen. I have only seen a handful of them pop up online for sale since I bought this one in 2017 as a graduation gift to myself. The Sweet Spot Quantum basses were basically Modulus' answer to Music Man before they developed the Sonic Hammer, which turned into the Flea Bass. The bass features Modulus' classic carbon graphite neck with no truss rod. It has a single EMG soapbar pickup connected to what I'm going to believe is an EMG preamp, I haven't opened it to look in a while so I can't really remember. I seriously love this bass and it's tone. Sometimes it can feel like a Flea Bass, and sometimes it can even feel like a John Taylor style Aria bass. It's tone is really punchy and its a real blast to play, especially to gig with. For being about 23 years old, the bass is in GREAT condition. I bought if off who I believe was the original owner in 2017. The only real solid "ding" I can find is a little chip in the neck by the 3rd fret, which is pictured above. The bass will ship in its original Modulus hard case with all the contents that were in it when I bought it. Shipping only to the US lower 48. I'll also be sure to give it a nice polishing before I ship it out.
