Gibson J-35 1985 Square Shoulder Acoustic Guitar w/ Gibson Deluxe Hardshell Case Made w/ DOVE Parts

For sale is a Very Rare 1985 Gibson J-35 Square Shouldered Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with a Vintage Gibson Deluxe Hardshell Case. The guitar has some cracks that have been repaired many years ago, the story with this particular model, according to the "Gibsons Fabulous Flat-Top Guitars" book, is that Gibson made this model with parts from their DOVE (hence the reddish back and sides) that were of good quality but not considered the standard for their DOVE model as they had poor humidity control at the time so a certain batch of wood used for this model resulted in cracks in the top, like this one. I have read on a few forums that other people with this particular model and year also had cracks in the top and had them repaired as this one was. An amazing sounding guitar, very well balanced and plays great! Some random scratches here and there, a chip in the nut that doesn't affect the strings, and nothing else that I have noticed. Serial number is 83245521. Plays like butter, comfortable neck that is not chunky at all. The case is in great condition, has some small scuffs on the outside.  83245521
