This is a fantastic instrument built by the Legend Guitar Company in British Columbia. It was considered one of their top of the line instruments at the time. The tone woods are beautiful East Indian Rosewood and tight grained Sitka Spruce with moderate bear claw figuring. Bridge and fret board are ebony, nut, pins and saddle are bone, and the tuners are Waverly. Neck is 1-3/4" at the nut and the scale length is 25.4".
Here is a link to an archived page on the instrument.
The guitar was re-voiced by Scott VanLinge to allow much fuller and deeper tones. Scott is one of the principal advocates of Parabolic bracing, and this is a testament to his craft. This is not a bluegrass guitar any more. The new bracing really opened this up as a perfect singer/songwriter instrument. As the bracing is quite light now, I wouldn't use anything heavier than light gauge strings on it.
In addition to the re-voicing, the guitar has been completely re-fretted and has a fresh neck reset. The neck angle is perfect and there is plenty of saddle for any future adjustments. Includes original arched hard shell case.
I'm interested in exploring electric guitars, as I have been an acoustic player my whole life. I'd be interested in a trade for a quality electric guitar.
