This guitar was previously listed and sold, but it was returned by the buyer because it sustained a ding in transit.  The buyer wanted a pristine piece as he already has an identical guitar as his player instrument and he wanted this one as a collectible.  This one was pristine before the ding happened (see picture - it's right under the tailpiece.  There is a second much smaller indentation on the bottom side of the tailpiece as well).  So I learned something about how not to pack an archtop and it was an expensive lesson to learn.  So I've dropped the price again.  Other than these the guitar is in beautiful condition. I believe I could request the last buyer to provide you his evaluation of the instrument and his experience with me if you contact me.

This is a beautiful Guild Artist Award archtop guitar.  It was made in Guild's custom shop in New Hartford Connecticut and is from their American Patriarch series. Its serial number is NQ234001 which indicates it was the 1st guitar completed on 8/22/13.

I am the only owner and I have taken care of it like a baby in a smoke-free environment.  I have never taken it out of my house.  It is simply one of the finest guitars I have ever played.  Its sound is angelic and its plays like butter.

If you want to see a true to life demo of this guitar check out Music Store Live's youtube review

This is the absolute top of the Guild line.  I promise you will not be disappointed.  It's set up with a smooth low action and basically plays itself.  I have Thomastik-Infeld George Benson flatwounds on it (12s).  The case is a heavy duty deluxe Guild case with a big beefy handle.  It's very nice as well.

Below is its description and specs I lifted from the website of the store where I bought it.   Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for checking it out.

The Guild American Patriarch Artist Award has a carved solid spruce top with a carved solid flame maple back and laminated figured maple sides. Solid tops and backs give archtops a characteristic woodiness that tons of players hunt down. And since the pickup floats above the top rather than sitting in it, there's not an extra hole to compromise the vibrations of the spruce. This is one of the reasons this guitar sounds as good as it does. At 3.125" body depth and 17" lower bout length, this guitar is on the bigger side. The vintage soft "U" shape neck is a 5-piece maple/walnut combination, and it features an ebony fretboard with 20 frets and a 10" radius. The inlays are two-tone Mother of Pearl/abalone blocks. The 24.75" scale length creates an easy, natural feel. The pickup is a DeArmond 1100 "Rhythm Chief" floating pickup, and there's only one knob - volume. This guitar is responsive enough that your fingers function as the only tone knob. There is a compensated ebony bridge, Grover Imperial Die-Cast tuners and a bone nut.
