Our custom Celestini hybrid double bass features a solid hand carved spruce top, a swelled maple back and maple ribs, a custom made hand carved Bausch adjustable bridge with fitted feet and ebony string adjusters, an ebony fingerboard which has been dressed down for the proper contour and dip for optimal string heights and a custom hand cut nut. The tailpiece is ebony. Ratio 26:1 Tyrolian tuning gears. These multi-teeth tuning gears insure the strongest slippage free tuning. The sound post has been professionally set. Notched end pin. Every stand up bass also receives a minimum 72 hour ToneRite vibration treatment which is very important. Not only will your instrument sound better but the notes themselves will come easier, allowing you to play more difficult passages with less fatigue. All completely set-up and tested in our shop by our bassist-luthier. Great for advancing students or professionals.

This bass is strung with LaBella Rope Core strings for a great sound(Other strings are available). Bows, hard cases with wheels and padded gig bags are available. Contact us for package deals.
