As you can see in the pics, this vintage Epiphone Casino "T" is in top playing shape. This is a real-deal, Kalamazoo, MI, Gibson made guitar, from the golden era. The Casino 230-T is the epiphone counterpart to the gibson es330-t. It is in perfect playing and functional condition. The sunburst finish has aged to blonde/ natural and really shows the grain of the wood. I have tried to photo different angles to capture the way the light interacts with the finish. The thin, soft D style neck is spectacular; a really amazing piece of wood, with that lovely, chunky, easy feel. Very fast! The original p90 pickup is of course, outstanding! Massive, mean and growly, dense and hot. HOT. Plug in, rainbow out.
The neck is arrow-straight and perfectly intonated, and the original machines hold a rock-solid tune. The action is incredibly low and fast, as if the frets are not even there, and the guitar simply plays like a dream; as an instrument of this quality and craftsmanship should. This is a truly amazing instrument, and a fantastic and rare slice of Gibson/Epiphone history.
Cosmetically, as the photos attest, this guitar is in very vintage condition, and displays all of the most distinguished and well deserved exterior play wear one would expect of a well loved well cared for and well played instrument of this age and pedigree. The headstock has an historic and very stable repair, typical of gibson a of the age. The finish is much crazed and worn, with great authentic patina. Look at that wood! The original hardshell case (beat, not pictured) is included! --Awesome!!
