Super Rare -  Ultra Cool acoustic bass made by Ernie Ball in Costa Mesa, CA. between 1972-73 of which only around 550 were ever made.

It is serial # 961. Serial numbers started at 500 so this was the 461st built.

It has a gorgeous spruce top & very colorful Walnut back & sides, it has a very nice maple neck with ”E” logo on the head stock. This one offers an outstanding bass response. The neck is in fantastic condition, It has locking tuners, a wooden bridge and has an internal pickup so can be plugged in.

It is crack free & plays and sounds fantastic. I've used in the studio many times on its own or to double my bass tracks and both results were outstanding. Never taken on tour and lived her pampered life proudly chillin' around the studio or in her original gig bag. She’s very rare, very original and in excellent overall condition to be nearly 50! It comes with the original gig bag but it will need the zipper repaired. I would prefer pickup due to its rarity but will ship. I'm putting shipping at $150 because I will spare NO expense to make sure this jewel arrives in the outstanding condition it leaves my ownership in.
