Thought I might use this in a semi-acoustic rock/roots/Americana trio,  but I just can't get away from playing upright in that group. However, this would have lightened my load considerably (the body is chambered and weighs next to nothing) and it can certainly sound very much like an upright, especially with the $75 Thomastik flats that will stay on it. It's easy to play and to listen to.

It uses a piezo pickup, so depending on your amp, a preamp might help with impedance matching. With many amps, preamp will be unnecessary. (UPDATE 5/20: Plugged this directly into a Fender Rumble amp I just bought and it sounds great; no preamp required.)
