About This Listing

Product Description

What makes this guitar special:  The Custom L-7C Acoustic Archtop is the only pure acoustic archtop ever built at Gibson’s shop in Bozeman, Montana. This beautiful instrument—made under the direction of Gibson’s master luthier Ren Ferguson—is based on Gibson’s L-7 archtop of the late 1940s, offering the easy playability of a rounded Venetian cutaway, the huge sound of a 17-inch body, and the affordability of simple ornamentation.  The flame figuring in the back & sides is absolutely stunning, as is the variegation in the fingerboard.  The natural finish makes it a true standout attraction. Professionally set up by our luthier, so it plays & sounds amazing!

Cosmetic Condition:  Excellent condition overall - very clean with some mild surface scratches along with minor nicks & dings.

Neck:  Somewhat chunky, Traditional V-shaped mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots.  Hand selected, premium rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays.  Frets are in great shape with no wear.  Bound headstock with mother of pearl crown inlay & Gibson logo.  Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.  1.725" bone nut; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body:  Solid spruce top with 4-ply binding & dual F-holes.  Trapeze tailpiece & compensated rosewood bridge.  Dark tortoise pickguard with 3-ply binding.  AAA Grade solid flame maple back & sides with 4-ply binding.  Guitar weighs 5 lbs 11 oz.  There is no pickup.

Case:  Original Gibson deluxe hardshell case included.
