This guitar was bought new as a backup in late 2015 when Seagull discontinued the placement of Godin QII electronics in this model. It was the last one a major Seagull dealer had in stock. It is not a second or B stock, etc. It was not a demo or floor model. It has been kept in its case in a humidity and temperature controlled guitar room. It has never been played by me, the original owner... It is in the cosmetic/structural condition as originally received. Most would call it Mint. I'll call it excellent because nothing is perfect from the factory and there has been light handling through the several years to maintain the guitar in storage. I have another one that I have played since 2012. In my estimation, Seagull handcrafts quality guitars in Canada by skilled artisans and gives the best bang for your buck. I have since bought some Martins and other makes, but Seagull gives you top quality and features at a price that is hard to beat for value. Please note: Seagull has made even more cost cutting measures to their entire Artist line since this model. So this might be your only chance to turn back the clock and pick up one of their pre-2016 discontinued top-of-the-line models at a fantastic price that is literally unplayed...
Why did I get a backup? In 2015, an inside the sound hole unit began to be used by Seagull. The switch saved them skilled labor ($) as they no longer had to cut an access hole and fit the battery box and control plate. Models since then require the loosening/removal of strings to change the battery and adjusting controls by squeezing fingers into the sound hole. The Quantum II in my experience is also a better and more costly unit than its replacement. And it's extremely hard to find an acoustic guitar that is designed for finger style playing without the wait and expense of a custom shop guitar.
Looking over the guitar, it is in excellent condition. Again, I didn't play it and have since bought some other guitars, which makes this one no longer needed. I honestly believe you won't find a better condition one in this discontinued model. The only thing I can really note is that the TRIC case has a small crack in the plastic liner that covers the structural foam in one of the interior corners. The case was received that way, and I put a piece of fabric tape over it. Really no problem. The last picture shows the inside of the case and a small strip of black cloth tape that covers the crack. The guitar and case are being sold as described and as pictured.
The guitar came from the factory without the plastic pickguard applied, leaving it to the customer if they want one installed or not. It is still in the plastic bag from the factory. The dealer did install a clear/transparent UltraThin pickguard. It doesn't use permanent adhesive and is removable, should you wish...

Godin Quantum II Electronics
The Godin EPM Quantum II acoustic guitar system provides outstanding sound reproduction and performance. The Quantum II is a hybrid system combining an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer and high-quality electret microphone in a simple, but very effective, configuration. The microphone capsule, specifically designed for use in this application, is mounted at the end of a 6" flexible boom integral to the side mount electronics. Four rotary controls adjust microphone presence/phase, overall volume, and saddle transducer bass & treble.

Microphone signal can be added and blended either in phase or out of phase with the saddle transducer signal. This allows the user to cancel (or notch) potentially undesirable frequencies while accentuating others. This flexibility in combining signals results in outstanding clarity and richness of tone.

The Godin QII also includes a built-in high-quality digital chromatic tuner with LED display.

The bass and treble pots are for the under saddle transducer only.
When the mic control is in center position, the internal mic is off. The signal
from the mic can be blended either in phase (clockwise), or out of phase
(counter-clockwise).
Please note that on the Q2T (has an on board tuner), the signal is muted at the output jack when the tuner is on.
The Cameo matches Flame Maple back and sides with a select Adirondack Spruce top. It has an integrated set neck system. This guitar also features a high-gloss custom polished finish and single cutaway. The result is a bright sound with lots of projection that is easy to play. The Cameo is a great performance guitar that works well on stage with onboard QII electronics installed. Includes Deluxe TRIC case.

TRIC stands for “Thermally Regulated Instrument Case.” Drastic changes in climate and temperature can play havoc on an acoustic guitar and the TRIC case offers protection like never before against the elements.
