1966 Framus "Texan" 12-String Acoustic Guitar.
The guitar is Model “5/296” [which I believe is the Texan model though it doesn’t say it on the guitar], serial #57488
has the faint marking “66L” [which I’m told means 1966] and says "Built in the Heart of Bavaria".
The fingerboard is Rosewood and has plenty of life left in the frets.
The body is in great condition but has lots of blemishes on it. Nothing major, normal wear and tear.
I have had this guitar for years played it here and there. It is a wonderful instrument and will need to be serviced.
It has great sound projection and volume. The action is nice under the 9 fret, with no fret buzz issues. Up the neck the its a little higher then i like. and I’m told a neck reset may be in order.
This is a truly unique 50 plus year old guitar which will give many more years of great service.
I really like the guitar a lot but 12 strings are really not my thing.
The guitar is a time capsule. It comes with the original case very cool case fits it like a glove. Please check out all the photographs. This guitar will need some love so it's being sold as is. Here's a great opportunity to get a vintage guitar for the price of a Mexican Strat.
Please ask any questions prior to bidding and I will do my best to answer any technical questions.
