ESP/EDWARDS MICHAEL SCHENKER Flying V E-FV-90WB
This is a rare ESP/Edwards guitar in absolutely perfect condition. They do come along once and while but typically out of Japan. This is a Japanese made guitar and represents one of the higher end models. There are no scratches, no dings or warwounds. This is really in incredible shape.
This offers a fantastic replica of Shenker‘s iconic V B/W guitar, with rosewood fret board (magnificent piece of rosewood), mahogany neck and body, Gotoh tuners, bridge and tail piece, Seymour Duncan pickups (SH-1N, the Duncan '59, and SH-5, the Duncan Custom), and super light in weight. It is an outstanding guitar. The neck is really lovely, straight, fast with low action and feels so comfortable. Usually guitars have a name on the truss rod cover but this one does not which is not unlike many of Michael Schenker’s guitars.
I have to say that this was my first ESP Edwards flying V and it a truly very well built guitar. Solid, fun to play, the neck is slim but slightly rounded and cups into your hand really well. I have small hands and it is a super great fit. And the sound emitted by these SD pickups is just amazing !
SPECS: Edwards E-FV-95 WB
Body: Mahogany Neck: Mahogany Fretboard: Rosewood, 22 frets with white binding Radius: 305R Scale: 24.75 inch (628mm) Nut: Bone (40mm) Inlay: Pearloid Block Joint: Set-neck Tuner: GOTOH SG301-01 Bridge: Old Type Tune-Matic Pickups: (Front) Seymour Duncan SH-1n (Back) Seymour Duncan SH-5 Parts Color: Nickel
This guitar is so close to mint and there is nothing on it that would prompt me to put anything else. But top end "Excellent" is fitting and then no one should expect gleaming mirror-like nickel parts :)
If you like Michael Shenker, UFO and MSG, this is the definitive one to have !
It does come in an old (but great shape) generic V style hard shelled case. I do place a piece of sponge under the neck to ensure that the tip of the headstock does not sit flush on the bottom of the case.
