This MaxxFly Supreme Custom DF722 guitar has been featured numerous times on the Parker Twitter and Facebook pages as the Parker staff were so proud of their work. Photo's of the body (pictures 9 and 10) were taken at the Parker shop before assembly.
This mouth wateringly beautiful and unique DF722 Parker MaxxFly was custom ordered by us and is a one of a kind guitar. The body is solid AAA flamed Western Big Leaf Maple, with a gloss finish. The neck and fretboard are both made from a stunning piece of Cocobolo Rosewood. The neck is unfinished for smooth, fast transitioning up the neck in all positions. The pickups included are a pair of Seymour Duncans most iconic models. The Duncan '59 in the neck, and the JB pickup in the bridge position.
JB BRIDGE.......The world's most popular humbucker. Provides slammin' output while retaining singing highs, aggressive harmonics, and just the right blend of sustain and distortion. Goes from sweet warm tones to raw rock 'n' roll. The JB has a stronger treble detail.
59 NECK.......Late-'50s, vintage-correct, humbucker sound. Warm and crystalline clean tones. Full and bright distorted tones. Smooth sustain. The '59 has slightly more scooped mids and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
This guitar's versatility doesn't stop at the best magnetic pickup tone you could ever have. The MaxxFly also features the Graphtech Ghost Acousti-phonic preamp system. The Acousti-Phonic Modular Pre-amp captures the natural acoustics of your electric guitar, which can then be amplified or recorded directly, without feedback or mic placement problems associated with a live or studio amplified acoustic guitar.
The Acousti-Phonic automatically senses when you plug in a mono cable and blends the acoustic pickup and magnetic signals so you can plug into a guitar amp. Plug in a stereo cable and the signals are output on separate channels: acoustic can be sent to the PA system or an acoustic guitar amp, and magnetic to a regular guitar amp.
The Acousti-Phonic onboard controls feature an acoustic volume knob and 3-way switch, allowing you to control the change from acoustic to electric, without relying on the sound guy. This lets you 'play the crowd' more and decide the right moment to shift the mood.
The Graphtech saddles are installed in a gold plated Floyd rose tremolo bridge. If you look under the Floyd on the bass side, you'll notice a trem stop you can set to either float, or dive.
The MaxxFly Radial Neck Joint Model is equipped with most of the great features Parker is known for in an elegantly carved new shape, showcasing a new, more traditional and ergonomically shaped upper horn while retaining the look and feel that is unmistakably Parker. The flared headstock provides more strength and allows for a thinner profile and a faster, more comfortable neck.
The MaxxFly also features a 22 fret fingerboard enabling precise placement of the neck pickup for that classic neck-position tone. Pickup mounting has also been improved to allow players to swap out the included Duncans with the pickup of their choice. Our new exclusive radial neck joint ensures better transfer of tone from neck to body and a precise fit with no slippage due to lateral sliding.
