About This Listing

Up for sale is my Godin A5 SA Fretted 5 string with a Cedar top.

This is an amazing sounding bass in very good condition. A few slight cosmetic imperfections that are hard to photograph. I am only selling because I am focusing on going fully acoustic with my Tacoma Thunderchief five string fretted basses.

I originally purchased one of these as the Ultra model with a spruce top and a Lace magnetic pickup in the bridge position. The spruce top makes these basses to bright sounding and the magnetic pickup is located in the bridge position which is way to treble sounding. Not a great design. I felt fortunate to find this used model with the Cedar top. Truly with the RMC piezo pickups, the magnetic pickup is not needed. The MIDI system works fine also.

Included will be the truss rod wrench and both a 5 pin and 13 pin cable if you want to try out MIDI.

This bass will be shipped in a good quality Protec gig bag. The bass will be wearing roundwouds B-G.

1-13/16" at the nut.    34" scale.    8 lbs 11 oz

I have included YouTube clips of the bass. I am using LaBella black nylon flats E-C.  This bass also works great with a B string.
