This one came from one of our finders right here in Des Moines IA. All it needed was a setup and new set of strings. Everything works great on it. Only the bridge cover is missing..those are always gone.. The frets are almost unplayed.Check those pics!

Its impossible to date these old Japanese basses but my MIJ guitar expert said it was 1965 or 1966 and with the full scale neck, a SB100. Happy to report any other info you all have out there!

These cool Kawai Full Scale Basses were very rare. Not many were made. Most were short scale. Love finding these in a full 34 inch neck... It sounds awesome. The single coil pickups are very musical and LOUD!!  Just a few dings and scratches on this cool bass. The worse area  is on the back of neck. See pic 9.

This cool bass has the original tuners, nut, pickups, thumb rest, pickguard, pickups, pickguard, bridge and string tension rod. The neck is nice and straight… It plays and sounds great. Awesome low action that will not result in sore fingers......plenty of room to raise it..you won't want it any lower. The neck is nice as straight and the frets are in excellent shape.

No original case came with this one. I am shipping it in the shown Brand New Hard Shell Case. It fits it great!

Now this bass guitar is beautiful but used so its sold as-is no returns... However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for over 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found them. This cool Kawai Bass will certainly not be an exception.
