The high-gloss black plinth base looks amazing contrasting the paintwork of the 401 against the piano gloss finish on the wood.
The Garrard 401 was the sequel to the famed 301 and benefits from many improvements, including a better finish on components extending its longevity and resistance to corrosion and wear.
The turntable comes from the renowned British restoration firm Audio Grail and was refinished in a black powder coat. It has been serviced and brought up to current specifications including full lubrication and replacement of any worn components. From the look and quality of the paint finish, it looks brand new.
This 401 was custom fitted with an electronic strobe upgrade since none of these mechanisms were made for the European market. It utilizes several LED's to create a bright and super-stable strobe effect. We also wired the strobe electronics to turn on with the power of the table for ultimate convenience. And we fitted a removable power socket so you can choose your favorite power cord. We will include a basic power cable to get you started.
The tonearm is an , which comes with the original box and accessories. It also looks either new or just slightly used. You'll notice the tonearm is not screwed into the arm board in case you want another tonearm installed. We have many other tonearm options available so please drop us a note if you want to know more via .

We offer the full range of that can be mounted and calibrated for you. Or if you already have a favorite cartridge you're welcome to send it in and we'll mount and professionally calibrate it on the table for you at no additional charge.
