Up for sale today is the culmination of 2 years of research and development, the Analog Outfitters ORGANic 261 - a two manual MIDI controller that weighs in at just over 100 pounds.  PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY 6 WEEKS BACKORDERED.  Each Instrument is built to order and you can pick your color and options.

No B3 organs were harmed in the making of this instrument!  The keyboard manuals for this midi controller come from organs such as the CV, D, BC and other similar models.  Our conversion process includes adding the percussion and volume tabs and modifying the drawbars so that they are “smooth”.  The final result is a MIDI controller that LOOKS AND PLAYS JUST LIKE A B3!

We've designed a "patent pending" circuit board for our ORGANic 261 model that allows us to interface a computer and/or MIDI device with this controller.  Because we preserved the existing key contact and buss-bar infrastructure our organ feels 100% like the real thing.  Our MIDI controller is compatible with all of the major organ software platforms such as Native Instruments B4, GSi VB3, and other similar programs. Users simply connect the instrument to a computer (or iPad) via USB or to a separate MIDI-capable device and map the switches to do as you please.  Our MIDI controllers have been played at large festivals, recording sessions, and concerts with many big names and they have performed flawlessly with no complaints.  There are four 1/4" jacks on the back that can be used for volume, speed switching, expression, or whatever you desire.  This particular organ has a connector kit for a 122 Leslie installed (kits for 147 type Leslies and 11 pin Leslies are available upon request).  The audio output panel also has xlr and ¼” line level outputs.  We also designed a 1/8” input on the audio panel so you can plug the audio from your computer into the midi controller where it is “boosted” by a circuit to get it to line level for the xlr & ¼” outputs.  This boost circuit also gives the signal enough voltage to drive the Leslie speaker.  We've also added a MIDI merge input, so you can play a separate MIDI controller along with the ORGANic 261 without using additional resources.  For convenience, the controller also has handles on both sides and two wheels on the bottom for easy transportation.  We also make a single manual and a "mini" version as can be seen in the photos.  Full 25 note pedal boards are also available.

You might ask why we pursued this project?  Why not just buy a Hammond clone from one of the many other manufacturers?  Our answer is that over the years many customers have lamented to us that they can't take their B3 on tour because of weight restrictions (or fly dates) and that they really don't like playing the clone organs because none of them "feel" right.  After hearing these complaints many times and seeing how many of these old organs end up in being scrapped for their preamps and parted out (just look here on eBay!)  we decided that we needed to find a better use for all of these materials.  Our complete solution includes re-using all of the original wood (redwood, mahogany, walnut, etc) in our line of speaker cabinets and guitar amps.  In addition we also reuse the amplifiers for our line of guitar amps.
