1964 Gibson Firebird III - Black
I am relisting this black beauty, with a lower price.
This guitar is in very good condition and plays perfectly, stays in tune, has good intonation. It has the some of the wear that you would expect from a guitar of this era, some bumps and scratches and the usual fine cracking of the finish. It is set up with D'addario 10's. The mini hums sound amazing. Great for blues, funk, jazz, rockabilly, country, and rock and roll. And, its black, a very early, possibly factory refinish, the paint has the finish and fine cracking in the lacquer that you would expect from a guitar of this era.
I have had this guitar for about 15 years and have played it only a handful of times. I believe I am the 3rd owner. I bought it from a fellow in Germany who claimed he bought it from a guy in Chicago. The original owner had the head-stock crack professionally repaired all those years ago. It was an excellent repair and you can see that the paint on the back of the neck at the top is newer.
