Here we have a 1982 Fullerton made Fender Jazz Bass "Special" (CB Serial Number) Dan Smith Era Shoreline/Aztec Gold w/ Gold HW and 4 bolt neck. I have never seen another one in person in Gold/Gold with bound Maple neck. This is a truely rare find and the bass has the vibe of a Classic 50/60's Shoreline Gold Fender. Included is the original Hard Shell Tweed case w/Duck foot leather fob. The neck pocket has matching serial number sticker. Also notice the heavy duty Gold plated Brass bridge that only this combo received.

This bass is in 7.5/10 condition showing lots of patina and greening on the forearm contour. No heavy belt rash. The finish is so amazing and the original gold hardware looks great. The bass has all original parts and frets. The neck is amazing and is bound Maple. Frets still have plenty of life and no issues with the truss rod. The bass is loud and punchy and performs perfectly. No repairs.

The neck is the Smith era round profile and is super fast to play. Action is great with no buzz that I can find. The action is set med/low and she plays out great.
