Vintage 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Body/Neck Project! Luthier Special!

Up for sale is this vintage 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom electric guitar body and neck project. This instrument is being sold "AS IS" and "AS FOUND", so please read the entire description and see all of the photos.
What you see in the photos is what you get. The body looks to have been hit several times with a hammer on the top and these marks are visible in the photos. The lower treble-side bout was smashed. Some of the broken parts are included, but about half of the pieces are missing. The only thing that is included besides the wood are two pots and one is busted. We are not sure if the other is functional. Both pots are dated to the later part of 1973.
The neck is in good condition, but does show wear. There is a spot on the back of the neck that looks like a crack, but under close examination, we do not believe that it goes down to the wood. The finish on the back of the neck shows wear. The original frets show wear as well and may need to be replaced for it to play 100% as it's hard to level this original "fretless wonder" frets. Non-original Grovers were once installed on the guitar, so the tuner holes have been slightly enlarged and there are some marks on the front of the headstock. The original ebony fretboard has several small cracks from where the guitar was very dry at some point.

No case is included, but we will pack it all securely in a gig bag for safe shipping. This will make a fun project for someone, so don't miss out. These projects never last very long!
