This beautiful guitar was 100% handmade in by well known all over the world Canadian Luthier MICHEL PELLERIN (Google him!) in collaboration with his long time (15 years) luthier /employee François Paradis.
The Eclipse model is meant to offer the Pellerin's craftmanship and attention to details at a more affordable price. (Usually a custom made Pellerin guitar starts at 6500$ USD)
This instrument is brand new.
Exceptional for strumming, the Eclipse delivers lot of volume but always in a very musical, "harmonic rich" manner.
At both high AND low volume the instrument is able to keep it's personality and beautiful Tone forming a solid orchestration with its responsive lows, clear mids and resonant highs, it gives the player a wide range of dynamics to work with and express himself musically.
The sloped shoulders body shape with its smooth curves and the Satin Gloss makes it very comfortable to hold. The medium / fat "C" shaped neck also contributes to the ease of play. The woods were carefully chosen to give the player a maximum of the frequencies response...especially for strumming.
The Fishman Pickup makes it a no brainer to use the guitar for live shows. It also gives you even more possibilities to tweek your sound in the studio, a nice and useful feature.
I played it myself for the video and I was thrilled with the frequency response..(Those lows, low mids wow !) perfect for powerful chords...a real joy to play and record!
