The Tone City model-S is two pedals in one, a distortion and a boost with a 3-band E.Q. This pedal is modeled after the 80s Soldano High Gain amplifier. ..and it packs an impressive amount of gain inside, even more so than the amp does. Besides the obvious monster huge distortion range of sounds, you can also get some tasty crunch tones, with the crunch switch on.The separate switch and knob for volume boost comes in handy. When the gain knob is turned fully down, the boost can work as a clean boost as well. The three tone knobs precisely allow you to shape your sound to fit the guitar/pickups. The added boost option can provide 20db? more volume, its perfect to bump up for a solo. I really like this pedal but i own 11 drive type pedals so I am parting with some gear to pay for a ski trip. If you like that massive high gain 80's hard rock sound, then you will like the model S. I can priority mail immediately day of purchase or the following day latest.
