This guitar belongs to a very good friend of mine.  Like me, he has a dozen others and just wants to sell this one.  I've had this guitar listed for 2 months without an offer and it puzzles me as it does several other of my musician friends who have also played it.  All of us are experienced and accomplished players and we're all amazed at just how much guitar this thing is for the money.  She may not be the prettiest girl at the dance but I can honestly say that this guitar, and probably many Matsumoku Westones, are some of the most woefully underrated guitars on the planet. These are without a doubt pro level players.

Cosmetically the guitar is in good condition with normal wear for a guitar of this age and a few body dings but the neck and frets are in excellent shape and it plays extremely well.  The upgraded dual Alnico V humbuckers have a smoky bluesy tonality with coil splitting that produces a brighter very Strat-like tone.  Through an OD pedal or an overdriven tube amp these pickups produce some of the best dirt and distortion I've ever played.  They can get downright rude or with the pickup volume rolled back clean up to produce some of the best pure tones I've ever gotten from a humbucker.

This is an excellent sounding and very versatile guitar and great example of mid '80s Japanese quality and value. These Westone models shouldn't be overlooked. They are excellent guitars for the money and getting harder to find for under $300 in this condition and level of playability. I've tried to talk my friend into keeping it but he wants it sold to recycle the money into a speaker cabinet he needs for recording so it has to go and now!  We'll consider any reasonable offer but I'm willing to stick my neck out and my rep and say this guitar is worth what he's asking.  It's the best sounding and playing $200 guitar I've ever laid my hands on and it will be ready to play right out of the box. David Lindley would love this one.

The purchase is covered by my Preferred Seller 7 Day Return Policy and the guitar will ship via 2-Day Mail, UPS, or FedEx within 24-48 hours of purchase.  Shipping costs for a guitar can vary greatly depending upon locale so I have estimated the highest probable cost.  Once I know a buyers specific location I can recompute this cost more accurately and will refund as much of savings if any as possible.  International buyer are welcome.  Once I know your exact location I can quote you shipping costs more accurately.
