Rick Falkiner is a pioneer of guitar for the Australian Continent, and has been a patron of classical guitar with his Love of both guitarmaking and teaching.
Rick appointed accomplished Chinese Luthier Yulong Guo for the construction of a guitar that mimics the personality of an Australian made guitar, but at an affordable pricepoint. So this guitar has aesthetic elements that serve as a tribute to the famous Australian Guitarmaker Greg Smallman, and in typical Aussie Guitar fashion......It's Loud! What we feel is exciting about the guitar (other than the affordability) is that the guitar has the feel and volume of an Australian made guitar, but it's not built with Carbon Fibre, which has long been a controversal element of the Lattice built guitars from that region. So the tone and the sustain, although louder than that of a traditional guitar, is quite traditional. It's a beautiful sound, and we are more than happy to record sound clips upon request.
An amazing value, along with the Fiberglass flight case, we'd suggest this guitar for someone who's looking to step up from a Cordoba or Alhambra, but maybe not ready for a guitar in the pricepoint of 10k. But make no mistake, this guitar sounds comparable to guitars in the 5k range......it will not dissappoint!
This particular guitar is here in the United States and available for immediate sale, which is important because it's becoming increasingly difficult to import guitars constructed with the use of Rosewood.
