I'm seeling my "almost working" CS80 from São Paulo, Brazil. Please, talk to me before any shipping costs.
From the last technical guy who worked on it: When
I got this synth to restore, (restore is very different from "fix" and
goes a lot further) it was almost totally dead, only one oscillator
running, with presets totally altered by problems in logic circuits,
etc. . I identified the defective oscillators, repaired them, identified
the problem VCFs, noticed, changed ALL caps from ALL modules, ALL logic
and operational chips, getting everything up and running. " The tech guy who worked on it made the full restoration of the synth, but there is no output on sound. It turns on all right and all lights works. Probably is a VCA thing and you can find Yamaha CS-80 CS80 Keyboard Rebuild Kits all over inter from U$600,00. Plus a little repair and calibration, It should go about U$1.500 to US$3.000 to get it fully working.
I'm selling the beast because buying components and shipping it to Brazil take ages and there aren't many tech guys who can fix it here.
If you really wanna buy it, we gonna have to agree on a few things:
-Original metal/chrome legs not included -No manual and paperwork (you can download them on Vintage Synth, including the technical scheme)
-Serial Number 1404 -You will get an addiotional vhip Ig00159 chip from the VCA for free. -Make an offer!
