(USED) Just because a guitar has only 12 frets clear of the body, that doesn’t necessarily make it a *small* guitar. The 000 may be shallow in body depth, but the body itself is long, longer than a standard dreadnought. That means it’s a big-ish guitar, and thanks to the bridge and bracing positions resulting from the 12-fret construction, sounds just plain BIG.
This guitar is a “Style 3″ and has some wonderful cosmetic upgrades, including abalone rosette, fill ivoroid binding body, neck and peghead, gold Waverly tuners and custom marquetry backstrip. This guitar harkens from the days of Brazilian peghead overlays, thus cannot be shipped internationally. The German spruce top has some very pronounced red streaking and a dark patch or two, which might be a turn-off to certain buyers… but trust us, it’s made up for in the warm yet crystaline quality of the sound.
Importantly, this guitar has nut width of 1 3/4″ and a string spacing of 2 5/16″ at the saddle, which will be good news for players who find the standard 1 13/16” nut width a tad wide.
The condition is EX+ with only some light swirls on the pickguard. No fret wear, cracks, scratches or dings.
Includes Collings TKL case.
