1935 Gene Autry "Old Santa Fe" arch top guitar. This is not the typical wall-hanger stencil guitar. It is a full-size, great playing/sounding, 15 1/2" wide arch top guitar, with beautiful maple back and sides, a solid spruce top, and a gorgeous sunburst on the top, back, sides, and neck. The fretboard is bound with white celluloid binding, to match the top and back binding on the guitar. It is fitted with the original individual tuners with the original grommets. This guitar was built after the release of Gene Autry's new movie, " In Old Santa Fe", which was released in 1934. It was made by Harmony, and sold by Sears in late 1935 and early 1936. It is a great guitar and is well-built and well-appointed.

The nut width is 1 23/32' and the scale length is 25 1/4". The neck is a very comfortable vee shape, typical of the vintage guitars from the '30's. It has the original trapeze tail piece, and an adustible floating bridge. I don't know if the bridge is original, or a replacement. The original black floating pick guard is missing, as well as the brackets and screws. You can see the small screw holes where the original pick guard was attached. There are no other holes or cracks in the guitar. It is in great condition. The back of the neck has some capo wear and some honest wear just below the nut. The neck has been reset, so there are no repairs needed for this guitar. A non-original chip board case is included.

Item will be shipped by Fedex Ground, or USPS, depending on the buyer's shipping address. Shipping cost is $45 in the continental US, and $65 for Canada.
