Up for sale is a 2013 built Headroom 100, masterfully crafted by Greg Germino of Germino Amplification. This amp is an EXACT reproduction of the fabled '68 Marshall 100W Super Lead amplifier (as played by Eddie Van Halen). This build does not stray, in any way, from the original Marshall design (i.e. No master volume or effects loop added) and plays just like a vintage Marshall should! This amp kills! It has THAT sound! You know, the one you've been looking for!
This amp is the late-'68 Super Lead circuit (split cathode V1) designed specifically for guitars by Jim Marshall et. al., has Sozo coupling caps and RIFA screen electrolytics, and has the 100pF "fizz" cap at the phase inverter (alleged Eddie Van Halen spec). The transformers on this amp are a Drake 1203-80 replica Power Transformer made by Heyboer and a Dagnall C1998 replica Output Transformer made by Chris Merren of Merren Amplification. The preamp tubes are a triplet of Mullard reissue 12AX7 via New Sensor and a quad of Svetlana EL34 as power tubes. This makes for a PHENOMENAL guitar tone!
The only issue with this amp is a cosmetic bluff, where the original Germino script logo was broken off due to a blanket getting tangled with the decal. The cabinet did have another logo temporarily installed on it, but the amp has NEVER been dropped or abused, in any way, shape, or form! Guaranteed to play and rock your socks off!
Greg sells these for a good grand over my list price, so this is a great opportunity to snag up a hand-wired masterpiece! Best offer available!
This has also been posted on eBay (without free shipping), but take advantage of the bargain here on Reverb!
