This is a Tweed Princeton on steroids.

Sometimes simple just works! We choose this design because it was simple. A late 1950’s Leo Fender 5f2a Princeton template, with some preamp mods. Single ended Class A pure sound from the pickups to the speakers. Run this around 4 and get incredible clean sound, push toward 7 and enter the break up zone, open this up and welcome to “crazy horse” compressed overdrive. Try it with all kinds of pickups and you are surprised every time. Decide to add pedals, then you enter you own tone zone! 

Tweed Amps 5f2a is a player’s amp. Great for recording, practicing, and small gigs. 12 watts of pure amplification and tube tone. Welcome to tone without killing the audience. Combine a 10” Weber Classic Alnico and 8” Weber Signature Series speakers with the single 12AX7 preamp tube, and the single 6L6 power tube and tone of this amp is a wide variety of classic warm tube sounds. An impedance switch allows for 8 or 16 ohm output, one or two speakers, or an external cab with a 12"or your favorite for experimentation. Play with the “boost” switch, (middle position no boost), discover thicker overdrive, or shimmer overdrive and you have a hand wired versatile little amp modeled after late 1950’s designs by Leo Fender.
