A bit of a back story. I had 2 crappy guitars in 2004 when I was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, with a 5-year life expectancy of 7%. To keep myself sane while going through 2+ years of chemo and surgeries, I bought guitars--over 200 of them! I wasn't going to live anyway, so why not enjoy some amazing (and some not so amazing) guitars?

Well here is it 15 years later and I'm alive and well. I don't play any more and spend most of my time and money with cancer patient and research advocacy so that other cancer patients might have the same positive outcome I've had.

That's where you come in. Traveling to various cancer meetings and conferences is not cheap. I need to unlock the money I have in these guitars so I can help other cancer patients. And I will donate 5% of the selling price (yes, it should be from the profits but I'm selling most of my guitars below cost so there is no profit--just lots of money spent.)

For sale is my superb Jamie Kinscherff fingerstyle Concert guitar. Jamie handcrafts guitars in Wimberly Texas. This guitar is signed and dated by Jamie in January 2004, and is serial number 240. I bought the guitar in March 2007 but never played it (I have over 200 guitars and I wanted to keep this one it its pristine condition) and kept it in its case in a temperature and humidity controlled room in my house.

Sound: loud, rich and warm.

Condition: excellent, with just a few light dings and finger scratches on the cedar top.

Specifications: 1 3/4" nut, 15" lower bout, 11 1/8" upper bout, 8 1/2" waist, 19 1/2" length, 4 1/4" depth and 25 1/2 scale length. The top is Western Red Cedar and back and sides are very high grade East Indian Rosewood. In addition, the binding is Koa wood, the purfling is white/green/white and the position markers are pearl. Action is 3/32", it has a sculpted bone nut, compensated bone saddle and chrome Gotoh Super 510 tuners. It has an exquisite Celtic motif on the headstock and for the rosette.

Why am I selling this guitar? I have way too many guitars and will never play them all. I tend to mostly play my electric guitars (I prefer Strat style) and never got into fingerstyle acoustic as I had hoped. This guitar new listed for $6150 ($5500 base plus $650 for the Celtic motif headstock and rosette)--I paid $3892 in 2007 and will include the receipt. Note that I've sold a number of guitars on eBay and have safely shipped acoustic guitars to France and Japan. I'll ship promptly once the funds have cleared.
