Alembic Distillate Exploiter 1983 Flame Koa Refurbished

1983 Alembic Distillate Exploiter for sale. Gorgeous flame koa top, mahogany back, 5 piece maple / purpleheart neck, ebony fingerboard, 32 inch scale, 10.8 pounds. In 2017, it was purchased by me and brought to Alembic for refurbishing. The body of this guitar has been refinished in gloss, and the neck is in satin. The headstock veneers have been replaced with new flame koa veneers. New Alembic gold tuning machines have been installed.  The fingerboard was refinished and brand new frets installed. The brass bridge, tailpiece and nut have been polished to a shiny goodness. The electronics received the RF upgrade. Brand new recessed truss rod cover engraved with the serial number. The strap pins were replaced with recessed gold Dunlop strap locks.  Includes new volume, tone and pup selector knobs in koa from THG Knobs. Essentially, this bass is like new with the exception of the back brass electronics plate, which is original and the only thing I didn’t have replaced, refinished or upgraded. What the heck. Original hard shell case included (has missing latch). Check out the photos.  Balances like a dream sitting or on a strap. Sounds and plays great.
