Ashly Mm 508 (Revive Mod) Summing Mixer

I bought this Ashly about a year ago straight from Revive Audio. Great sounding unit! They turned this mixer into a truly great summing/tracking mixer. I’ve used it to record electronic and acoustic music and it really does a great job. Warms/punches up in the box mixes and sounds professional. Can’t say enough. First two pictures are from the original revive posting and the last is the unit in my rack.

Up for sale is a Revive Audio Modified Ashly MM508, Eight channel stereo mixer that sounds beautiful.

These cool mixers are transformer coupled on the master outputs for great analog mojo and warmth!

Each channel also offers a very musical three band equalizer.

The top and low bands on these sound smooth and musical and are of the shelf type.

The Mid bands on them are sweepable for even more control.

With the modifications these are excellent for a wide range of duties from Mix down and Summing to straight up Mic preamps for tracking.

They sound very large with good dynamic range and bandwidth.

This one is in good shape with some wear from use (see pics) but looks good overall.

So the modifications:

We modify the preamp sections on these with Burr Brown opamps, perform de-couling and coupling in various stages for higher headroom, bandwidth and lower noise.

They come out sounding excellent with a very good low mid bump that sounds warm and broad.

Master Section modification:The master section has been modified using Burr Brown high performance opamps for better bandwidth and higher headroom as well, coupling is also performed as well as local bypass and local power supply upgrades.

We also modified the power supply for lower noise, better headroom and longevity making this Eight Channel mixer ready to Rock!
