Up for grabs is his gorgeous PRS guitar. I've had it since 2009 and it has been my prized possession all this time. I babied it and it is in flawless condition, not a scratch not a dent and zero fret wear. Not even buckle wear. The "thin wide" neck plays like a dream.
The pickups have been professionally upgraded to a DiMarzio Crunch Lab in the bridge position and a DiMarzio Liquifire in the neck position. This is the set that John Petrucci used on Dream Theater's "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" album and they are a fantastic match with this guitar. Both the volume pot and the tone pot are push/pull. The volume knob splits the neck pickup and the tone pot splits the bridge pickup, leaving you with a guitar that is versatile enough for rock and metal but still pulls of very convincing vintage single coil sounds. This way, in the middle position you can use any combination of full and split humbucker, which is very cool. The highest available quality parts were used for this upgrade.
Last but not least, a Tremol-no system has been installed which improves sustain and tuning stability. It's been set up for "dive only" but can be easily adjusted to completely block the trem if you don't plan to use it.
Highlighted specs: All mahogany body, flame maple top, neck through construction, original Floyd Rose trem, ebony fretboard, stainless steel medium jumbo frets.
Comes with original PRS gig bag. If the guitar needs to be shipped I will use the highly protective shipping materials I kept from a recent Sweetwater purchase. I'm selling it because I don't play prog/rock/metal anymore. This guitar retailed close to $1100 and there's about $300 worth of upgrades.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. No trade offers please. The pictures are of the actual guitar.
