G&L SC-1 1982 with vibrato tailpiece

This Leo Fender designed 1982 SC-1 with a vibrato tailpiece is an exceptionally rare and collectible G&L model. Total production run of all SC-1's totaled less than 250 guitars. The build quality was very high on these models like Leo was out to prove something. You can look a long time and not find a nicer SC-1 with a vibrato tailpiece. This one has it all.   Most SC-1's were fitted with a hard tail configuration.  The SC-1 has a Leo designed, soap-bar style single coil pickup in the Bridge position that starts hot and gets nasty. The 1-5/8" wide neck is fantastic with very minor wear on the frets. It sports diagonal cut Schaller tuners and large dot markers.  Electronics are unmolested.  Although not mint, this 32 year old guitar is nearly flawless save for a small paint chip as shown.  O.K. if you have read this far you know what it is and how collectible they have become.  Given the fact that they were "student" guitars, very few have survived in this amazing condition.  Comes in original case which is in very decent shape.  Free shipping within the Continental United States.  Sorry, no offers on this one.  Check out my other cool gear.  Thank you for looking.
