National EG467-2B / Silvertone 1490 Electric Bass 1960's Sunburst Japan + Case Super Clean!
30” short scale bass is in very good condition overall. There are some finish cracks on the body and also a blemish on the necks treble side between 1st and 2nd fret (see closeup pic). Both pickups and all electronics are working. Truss rod turns and neck was adjusted a bit but still has a slight upward bow with some relief. Truss is not maxed out but I left it at this point this far as all notes play well up the neck and action is decent. A little more TLC with setup could most likely be achieved but I got the bass all cleaned up and ready to rock. All parts are original and the finish and chrome parts all look very vibrant. Bridge still has foam string dampener and chrome cover with thumb screws.
This bass comes with the original soft shell case with red interior. There is a model number EG467-2B and serial number 092 badge on the neck plate. I have seen this model number on other basses labeled as National branded basses however there is no name on the headstock and it doesn’t look like there ever was one. I have also seen similar basses listed as Silvertone model 1490.
This is a pre owned vintage bass that will show some wear commensurate of age. I am not the original owner and do not know the past history of this instrument. Personal set up advised.
