1986 Fender Esquire - Blonde - Made in Japan - Really Nice - Upgraded Electronics

Hey All.  A nice old Dusty here.  For your consideration I have a Made in Japan 1986 Fender 54 Esquire Reissue in a great see through Blonde finish.  This guitar has a medium profile neck and the frets are in nice shape.  Plenty of life.  There are a few frets that have divots from play wear, but nothing frets out.  I tried to get the fret wear in the pictures.  This Esquire also bends really easy up and down the neck.  The Esquire also has upgraded electronics with cloth wiring.  Nice CTS pots dating to 2012 and a CRL three way switch.  It is also wired with Wax and Paper Caps along with an Allen Bradley resistor.  This is wired how an esquire should be.  Great upgrade from the original small alpha pots.  The pickup appears to be an older Fender.  It has cloth black and yellow leads.  It sounds nice and bright!

The body is in good overall condition.  It has been played and loved for most of its life.  There are a couple of dings and scrapes on the front and sides but nothing major.  These are seen in the pictures.  The worst of the wear is buckle scratching on the back of the guitar.  There is a spot right above the string ferrules that goes through the blonde finish to the wood.  Again, this has been played, but not abused.  The pickguard is not original, but it is a period correct 8 hole single ply in white.  The tuners are original to the guitar.  The bridge is original and has the serial number of A024044.  The neck is in good shape.  All the clear coat is on.  There are some small dings and bruises on the back, but nothing major.  I tried showing everything in the pictures.  Guitar comes with period correct 82 to 86 tweed case with duck foot leather strap inside.  It is in solid shape.  All latches work great.  It is missing one metal foot.  The back is lightly stained a bit, you can see it in the pictures.

All and All, this is a great playing and looking Guitar.  You don't see many Esquires, so this is something pretty cool.  I explained the guitar as accurately as possible and took a lot of pictures.  Let me know if you have any questions, I will be glad to answer them.
