With a Spanish cedar neck, European spruce top and flamed maple sides, this striking Angela
was made in 2010-2011(as suggested by
the yellow label and lack of a truss-rod) and is in very good
to excellent condition for an 8-year-old instrument with delicate
finish. Bit of light wear on the top, due to use of thinner French
polish shellac. The wear is not noticeable from the front but visible in
good light at
an angle. There is a light 1 1/2" scratch on top near bottom binding,
appears to be only in the finish, hard to photograph, barely visible in
pic #6 & there also is 1 tiny, hard-to-see chip in the back binding;
no other issues. The back and sides are in excellent condition. Gotoh
tuners. Pretty rosewood body binding and a lovely parquet rosette make
this a really striking instrument.
Action is excellent, tone superb--very balanced overall and nice
response. This is one of Loriente's less common models--I wanted to try
something other than the (very) usual cedar/rosewood classical you see. I
wasn't disappointed, the sound is rich and bright. I have enjoyed it
but it has been sadly neglected as I'm more into acoustic guitar lately.

Action is 3.5 mm, 6th string/12th fret; about 2mm of saddle remaining
